For those of you who are actually loyal readers of this blog (and I thank you greatly), you probably have noticed a pattern in what I post and the things that inspire me. I can be very multifaceted despite or in concurrence with general perception of who I am. At times I can be very girly, other times very sexy/sexual, then dark, or a bit edgy and defiant. It's whatever suits my mood you know? (Despite the fact that I haven't posted hardly any personal style photos so that you can actually see all those "facets". They're coming soon, I promise. I have been having some issues with my personal style as of late. I haven't been meshing well with my clothes and nothing seems right. I suppose it's "Stylist's Block") So, when I came across this set, well, do I need to explain? I don't think so...

BTW, I have a photoshoot tomorrow with a very talented crew of people. Wish me luck! I hope to have some beautiful pictures to share with you guys. Also, I will be putting a few of some extra images from the last shoot on Twitter, so if you haven't already then follow me (here)!

[photo src: (?), fashionising

I'm so into MWC (models with cigarettes), and the whole 'bad girl' theme going on in the fashion world. But then again, I have always been "into" the 'bad girl' theme. Self-reflection maybe? Eh. The most captivating thing about this layout is actually the antithesis to the obvious. Sometimes sexuality and sensuality are more subtle than blatant. There are often times when sexy walks the fine line of raunchy (which isn't all bad at times, why not?). But it was her eyes that intrigued me; that naughty, seductive, mysterious gaze....

I've been a little out of it lately due to some very unfortunate news so I actually forgot where I originally snagged the pics from this time, (sorry).

:: Mi Casa Es Su Casa + Happy Thanksgiving ::

Visually speaking, fashion isn't the only thing that excites me. Culture, luxury, aesthetic are all factors combined into a creative visual imagery that evokes desire and elevates my spirit. And those are just to name a few. I have been scouring the internet sourcing these absolutely divine luxury home goods and furniture created by a few of my favorite fashion houses. This is what I found:

You know, I like coming home to my charming little studio apartment, but I would LOVE coming home to something like this (minus the huge "Chanel" couch)! Totally unnecessary, but not necessarily a bad thing to have.

I hope everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving holiday. Give thanks, break bread, enjoy your family and friends, and consume as many calories as you like. It's a freebie!

T♥TS & CH♥INS

Love the safety pin necklace...DIY? Perhaps. The hanger tats super cool and ironically on a guy.

R.I.P. Daul Kim--couldn't do a full post about this...too morbid. I do have to cover an image of her that interpreted too powerful to overlook (to be posted) "Chanel Haute Joiallerie"

Freja for Twin

Sweet. Love how the other is peeking through her hair.

I was surfing the net today, and suddenly became inspired by quirky necklaces and tattoos. So, I decided to create a small composite of images that reflected such inspiration. I believe just about every image has subtle nuances that make each image special and captivating. If nothing else, I just love tattoos and jewelry...but that's so....simple.

LUST LIST

Sorry Elin, ever since I saw you in this DVF "Malia" sweater, I just HAD to have it. It's what started my fashion quest for the perfect cozy knit! Now, it's practically sold out everywhere except net-a-porter.com and they only have M/L :( (psst..if anyone has one and wants to sell it to me, email me. Or, let me know where I can find it!)

Perhaps, a suitable alternative...sigh...

H&M Oversized jersey tee...easy breezy

Cushnie et Ochs S/S 2010 Lookbook

photo src: refinery29

HUGE fan of the girls over at Cushnie et Ochs. Always have been since inception, and they still have my attention. Their new lookbook has arrived, and since I am not one of the cool kids yet, I had to...ahem, "borrow" these shots from the folks over @ Refinery29 (I hope they don't mind). I love as usual, and thoroughly enjoying the body-con, the draping, and the volume of the last jacket to the right! I've seen a comment made that implied that the girls were ripping off Alexander Wang. I have to disagree. While I do see some similarities, I feel that they have created a "look" of their own. I love Mr. Wang, but he isn't the first to perform this design aesthetic. What do you think?

Bound By Time

photo src: fashiongonerogue

As an artist, I am continuously inspired by innovation. It's the freshness and the "thinking outside the box" creativity that feeds my passion for this craft called fashion. Supermodel Helena Christensen donned this peculiar, creatively riveting, ahem..."top" in the lastest issue of i-D Magazine. Best part, they are just a bunch of watches! All made of the same style and color, interlocked in a pattern across the body that evokes a very "bondage" type of feel. Clever, and tres sexy!

Louise Goldin for TOPSHOP

photo src: mykromag

I was SO excited to hear that Louise Goldin is making her spiked shoe collection for TOPSHOP! I remember the day when I first laid eyes on these beauties and quickly stored them to my ever-growing hard drive. That's where they have stayed, tucked away in my "COPYCAT" folder that I use to reference all of my DIY projects that I never actually "do myself". Although my friend insists that we will get together and have a "spike and studding" party, I think that perhaps buying them from TOPSHOP may be in order. I wouldn't want to miss this fad. However, I wouldn't want to spend a killing on them either. I don't think that will be the case since they are being sold at TOPSHOP, but we'll see!

Oh, and I have no idea when they are releasing although I did read that the full Louise Goldin collection is debuting November 19th. I cruised by the website, and I saw no evidence of such an event happening on that date. So, TBA...

I have always been a huge fan of neutrals. I have never really been one for color although, it truly "works" for some people. I, not being one of them, gravitate toward more neutral palettes such as gray, brown, taupe, mink, and of the course, the requisite black. I guess to me, nudes are more effortless. A blank non-competitive canvas for your wardrobe.

I pulled some images of the young and fabulous Julia Restoin-Roitfield from the December issue of Vogue China (more, here). I loved the styling of this shoot because it was just so damn stylish! The first pic does evoke an "editorial" look for pure fascination and inspiration, but if you pay attention, you'll see that there are some extremely wearable looks here...extremely. (making note to self to invest in nude pencil skirt and leopard blazer ASAP!) Could you throw these same articles on with bold color? Of course, you could! I say tomato, you say to-mah-to.

Gimme More

I took a stroll pass the David Yurman store yesterday, and I had to carefully pull out the camera phone and get a snapshot of these beautiful baubles. They make the displays look like little windows of heaven with the light beaming on these perfectly placed pieces (how about that for alliteration). It's as if it's almost as much of a tease as it is an enticer. Well, at least that's my interpretation, purely subjective. My stalkerish ways are bound to catch up with me sooner or later (fingers crossed that I'm wrong! I don't have the paparazzi spirit!) My favorite little bit from the collection is the silver dome ring. It kind of reminds me of an armadillo, no?
