BURBERRY PRORSUM FALL 2010

(photo src: fashionising, style.com)

Never one to disappoint, Burberry Prorsum proves to be another British stunner (see full collection here). It's the highlight of LFW for me, not that I don't appreciate other designers because I thoroughly enjoyed the Vivienne Westwood Red Label show for example. There's plenty of British talent tromping down the runways as I speak. But, that Christopher just knows how to push my buttons! Highlights of the collection you ask? The navy military blazers, snake skin thigh highs, and the shearling coats/jackets! I DIEEEEE...I am so thankful not to have asthma because surely I would've had an attack by now with all the gasping I do on a daily basis. Oh, how I wish I was Mr. Bailey's BFF...*dreaming*

:: BACKSTAGE PASS ::

 Here's a little video that I composed of some behind-the-scenes footage from the test shoot I mentioned the other day. This is the start of many awesome videos for the blog. I got a chance to use the camcorder I received as a Christmas gift (thanks mom) and taught myself how to make a "movie" with my Windows Movie Maker software. The video took me about an hour and a half to complete, but I must say it came out pretty snazzy for a novice. It's just over a minute long, but once I get the hang of it there will be more in-depth video productions, lol. I'm totally geeked right now, can't you tell?

:: WITHDRAWAL ::

What's going on over there at FashionGoneRogue? I need them! I had finally found my up-to-date source of the latest editorials not only for you guys' (my wonderful blog readers) but for my own viewing pleasure. Not to mention, I also thought I had remedied the ever growing magazine "situation" that is currently out of control at my my apartment. I had the pleasure of taking my daily visit only to be greeted by a splash page in the form of a letter from Joanna and a donation button. So, to feed my addiction, I made a small donation in hopes that other addicts like me will do the same. God, I hope they are just like me...

p.s. I am in love with bowl cuts all of a sudden, weird...but fabulous.

:: BLUE STRIPES ::

Dossier: H&M striped tee, F21 jeans ripped by me, Seychelles Blimey oxfords, Zara Men cardigan--borrowed from my friendsie)
I had the pleasure of doing another photo shoot yesterday with a photographer that I have dying to work with (check out her work: Joy McKinney)! I'm so excited to diversify my portfolio and this shoot hit the mark. I had my first male model to style and that idea always sent me running for the hills. So, this time I decided to stay right where I was and face my fear head on. After having the "deer in headlights" syndrome for so long, I decided to grab the bull by the horns. Turns out, I'm not too shabby with creating a look for a guy and decided that I should do it more often. Besides, this means that I get to dress young, hot guys with great bodies. Why haven't I thought of this before?! So, in the midst of the long but eventful day, we decided to get some outfit shots in while I was standing around doing nothing and waiting to put the fur on the model. I got a chance to break in my new Seychelles oxford pumps and I must say, they are the most comfortable heels that I own aside from my DV Wendall boots...ahh...

:: LET THEM EAT CAKE ::

Dossier: H&M faux-fur coat, silver cuff and clutch, Aldo shoes, Henry Holland tights, bebe belt, ebay dress.
Yesterday I celebrated my birthday at Pacci with a few of my good friends. The dinner was awesome and our waiter was cute too ;-) I enjoyed everything about this place! It had a very provocative and sophisticated vibe and don't get me started on the decor. My interior design friends were having a discussion about how much they loved the this and that of the decor. We had two desserts compliments of our super cute waiter and then attempted to get a few photos in for you guys in the freezing cold. It still amazes me how cold Atlanta can get sometimes. Oh, and I had to get a picture of my Henry Holland tights that have the garter and panty in one. I had these things for so long now and never wore them, until tonight. Might I add, they are not only extremely sexy (had to do a mirror dance for myself before leaving for dinner) but they are super comfy!

:: DIARY OF A SHOPAHOLIC ::

Just a few things that I bought today on a little trip to H&M :-) I had no plans on getting a  faux-fur jacket this late in the season, but it was on sale for $20! Uh, why not?!! I just love the sequin embroidered vest, and the coral stackable rings were a must. They were only $6 and I don't have to worry about them turning color because they look like burnished gold. Although, it would've been really awesome if they had a turquoise one also. Well, I have successfully purchased about 85% of the items on my must-have list for spring. I just need my white blazer, vintage cut-offs, leather shorts, technicolor print dress, and I think I'm set!

:: SOB STORY ::

(photo src: fashiongonerogue, fashionising, ninelleemfremova, dripbook)

I am so ready for change, change for the better. I am so ready for success, so ready....for a lot of things. I kept stumbling upon pictures that reflected my inner emotions that I couldn't articulate to some of my friends and other people I know. I feel so stifled, frustrated and worried. I found it profound to find the perfect images to describe me at this point in my life and I had to share it in a story. Aside from the melancholy vibe these images give, they are quite stunning and were taken by some very talented photographers.

I am a dreamer who keeps on dreaming and perhaps one day, my dreams will come true.
